A loan of $600 helped to buy school supplies and bazaar items.

Lili's story

Lili is a charismatic, hard-working woman who is divorced from the father of her two children who live with her in their own home bought through much effort. Lili sells books, home textiles and bazaar items out of a shop in her mother's house, so she is able to save on rental expenses. Her business is very popular among the neighbors and she attends them with kindness. Her bookstore has been in business for over seven years so she has become very well-known in the town. Her mother helps her attend to customers.

She likes her work because she is able to earn a living and give her family a calm existence. She chose this activity because she needed a job and to feel like a productive person. So she is determined to continue growing the business.

This is her third Kiva loan and she is counting on your help so she can reach her goals. She will use the 1,500 PEN to buy school supplies, such as notebooks, pencils and erasers, and bazaar items at low prices, since she believes the more variety she offers the better sales will go.
