A loan of $325 helped to buy bologna, salami-like sausage, pork sausage, Catalan sausage, and other products.

Yesid Rafael's story

Yesid, 30 years old, sells cold meats and also perfumes on credit, from his own home located in the south of the city, where he lives with his family. Initially he worked as a security guard for a construction company but a certain friend suggested that he sell cold meats helping him with his undertaking, a business he began and built up when he lost his security job.

It’s been two years since he started and his working capital has increased, as have his purchase order requests. This is the reason for going for a Kiva loan, his first financing from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, so that he can buy bologna, salami-like sausage, pork sausage, Catalan sausage, products in daily demand, and also to invest in perfume that has been requested by special clients for their favorite brands and are very profitable for Yesid. His future goal is to open a facility accessible to the public and to buy his own house, so he has the challenge of selling more and saving more.
