Ravshan's story

Ravshan is 33 years old and he is married with three children. He lives with his family in the Shakhrituz region, which is located in the southwestern part of Tajikistan's Khatlon region, and he works with his wife in an orchard farm (a small individual or collective private farm on which a few people work, mainly growing cotton, wheat or vegetables - crops which account for 60% of the irrigated land in Tajikistan). Ravshan grows almonds and ground nuts and he sells them. He now wants to get started in cattle raising, as it is a profitable business and the climate in his region is conducive to breeding cattle. Ravshan is asking for a loan to buy and sell cattle. He plans to reinvest the income from this business into the purchase of more livestock.
