Tasleem's story

Mrs Tasleem is a 51-year-old, married woman, who is living with her three children in Punjab, Pakistan. For about seven years she has been working in hand embroidery. She makes beautiful patterns for the people of her community. Her designs are much in demand, and she has managed to consolidate a clientele that allows her to contribute to covering the expenses of her home.

To help her to continue her operations, she has requested a loan of Rs. 35,000. She will use it to buy spools of thread in different colors, and packs of beads, sequins and stones, for embellishment. In this way, she will be able to cater to more customers, consistently. She is hoping to get an increase in her income, by targeting more customers. Tasleem dreams of her children's bright future and is very much thankful to Kashf for its tremendous support.
