Hasmik's story

Hasmik is 33 years old and lives in Sevan, Armenia. She married young and has two children, a 12-year-old son and a 16-year-old daughter. She graduated from secondary school but did not work since her daughter was born soon after her graduation.

The only income for her family was from her husband who worked in the Russian Federation. It was a very hard time for her new family, but Hasmik has overcome her difficulties and today runs her own business.

Hasmik rents a stall in Sevan Market and resells women’s and men’s clothing. She buys clothes from the wholesale markets in Yerevan twice each month, transports them to Sevan with her husband’s help and resells them in her stall. Hasmik and her husband can now care for their family themselves. She is very happy that her family's life has improved and they save money for the future of her children. Hasmik says that she tries to forget about her hard life in the past and her main aim is her children's future. She is convinced that their dream will come true.

Hasmik is asking for a loan of 650,000 AMD loan to buy spring and summer seasonal clothing from the wholesale markets to sell in her stall.
