Pabitra's story

Pabitra, a differently-abled person, age 27, is unmarried and lives with his parents and two siblings. He resides in Odisha, India. For the past five years, Pabitra has been operating a variety store at the village market to earn a living and support his family. He sells detergents, chocolates, noodles, soaps, talcum powder, and other daily-used necessities for the household in his shop. He earns 6,000 INR. The part that he likes most about his job is the interaction with different kinds of customers through which he comes to know about the different tastes and preferences of the customers.

He requested a loan of 20,000 INR to purchase more stock of what he sells plus a few additional products like stationery, wafers, hair oil, shampoo etc. to meet the needs of his customers. In the future, Pabitra wants to enhance his business and see that his parents live a better life than they are living now.
