A loan of $825 helped to buy fabric and other sewing supplies.

Bertha's story

Bertha, 59, is married and has a 12-year-old son. She works making clothes. She’s been doing so for several years. She manufactures surgical scrubs and doctors’ gowns. Her workshop is located at home in the Tejar zone. This loan is her first sequence in the institution and Bertha is going to use it to buy fabric, basting and buttons to make gowns at wholesale. Her reason for requesting this loan is to increase investment capital because she has contracts with hospitals she needs to fill as well as with various street markets where they sell her clothes.

The business challenge Bertha faces is increasing income. She plans to use profits to invest in the purchase of good quality clothes making supplies so she can fill more customer orders. Bertha is a very hardworking person who feels happy and grateful to the institution for the support provided.
