A loan of $600 helped a member buy basic grocery foods.

Dúo Flor De Trigo Group's story

The duo "Flor de Trigo" (Wheat Flower):

Hercilia is originally from the town of Tecpan, Guatemala. She is 51 years old and has 6 young children that she is responsible for. She has a small store where she sells everyday groceries. She works every day out of her house in La Giralda, Tecpan. In addition, she goes to the local market on Thursdays to sell the same goods.

Her husband works as a carpenter and thanks to his support and that of their children, she progresses with her business.

Her dream is to expand her business by obtaining a greater variety of goods to sell. In this way, she hopes to obtain greater profits and be able to send her children to school.

She has received 2 kiva loans and due to always paying on time hasn't fallen behind. She is asking for this loan in order to buy basic grocery foods.
