A loan of $775 helped buy jeans, cotton t-shirts, and school uniforms.

Delia's story

Delia is 59 years old, married to Tito, and has two children. They live together in good solid house, the result of hard work and dedication. In order to work in a job that would help the family’s finances and improve their prospects, Delia chose to earn her living by selling clothing, a job she’s now had for 35 years. During this time it has become a successful business providing a source of income for the family.

All begins with a selection of various clothes which are then transported to nearby areas to sell at good prices. The problem is, according to Delia, the transportation. She has a small injury to her legs which limits her normal level of activity. However, as she can always count on the drivers to help out, she feels very happy with what she has achieved. She hopes that her health will stay stable so she can reach her objectives which include having her own store where she can sell her merchandise in a more comfortable manner.

Delia is hoping that MFP will provide her with a loan of 2,000 soles to buy merchandise such as jeans, cotton t-shirts, and school uniforms.
