A loan of $400 helped to buy pea seeds.

María's story

María is 54 years old, lives with her husband Benjamín and two of their children in a house they own that they constructed with adobe in a rural annex. María is a hard-working woman and she makes a living from agriculture. Every day she starts the day surrounded by her family in order to care for them and then she directs herself to her crops. She plants peas, lima beans, corn, potatoes, alfalfa, and other things. She is content with her work because she knows that everything she obtains in the fruit of her efforts. Now the harvest of peas is impending; after harvesting them, she will take them to the wholesale market in her area. She has been doing this for more than 30 years and she mentions that it is too much of a sacrifice but that it has its reward, as in this way she manages to educate her children. Now she requires your support, as she has in mind to plant 2 fields of peas. At this time she asks for 1000 Peruvian nuevos soles to buy 2 bags of pea seeds and thus continue with her production. She likewise commits to making payments in a punctual manner.
