A loan of $775 helped to buy organic fertilizer and pea seeds.

Reyna's story

Reyna is 42 years old, is married and has two children. Her house is located in a rural annex and is built from a base of adobe.

Each day, after attending to her children and husband, she works on her crops because she has been working in agriculture for 22 years. Her main crops consist of corn and peas. For this she relies on land she bought thanks to a lot of effort. But there are planting seasons that she rents her land, especially in the months of September, October and November. "In these months sales are good because the buyers come from different parts of the country," she says. Her husband supports her in this tiring activity, but she also hires workers, because sometimes they can't do all the tasks.

This is her second loan with Kiva and she feels happy to receive financial support that allows her to continue with her work. She promises to be punctual with her repayments. In this instance Reyna will ask for 2000 soles for the purchase of organic fertilizer and pea seeds.
