A loan of $800 helped to buy urea, liquid pesticide and insecticide.

Mariana Isolina's story

Mariana is 62 years old, single, and has seven children. She lives with her children in the city of Ventanas in the province of Los Ríos. She is a member of the “25 de Febrero” [February 25] Communal Bank, which is located in the Guabito precinct of the parish of Zapotal, in Ventanas Canton. She works in agriculture, including cacao, and she grows corn. She also works raising animals such as chickens, pigs and cattle.

Mariana is requesting this loan to buy urea, liquid pesticide and insecticide. With the help of the loan she will be able to buy what she needs to have a good harvest. She buys her supplies in Ventanas every eight or fifteen days. Her dream is to work very hard for her family’s wellbeing. The challenges she faces are the pests that harm her crops. In her free time she likes to watch television and play sports.
