A loan of $1,025 helped a member to purchase a buffalo.

Sajida's Group's story

Ms. Sajida is a 39-year-old married woman. She has been running a business selling milk with the support of her husband. They have 12 years of experience in the field. She provides a valuable service to her community by selling milk to many of her neighbors. Sajida looks after the buffaloes and performs the task of collecting milk from them while her husband sells it to different places on a daily basis. They are happily doing it together to support their family.

She has five children and they need to earn much more to meet their everyday expenditures including food, clothing and education. In order to make more profit, they requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to buy one more buffalo to cater to more customers. They hope to have an increase in their production capacity, which ultimately will help in generating more cash.
