Victoria's story

Victoria lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is widowed with eight children and one of her children goes to school. She has no additional family members. She is a poultry farmer. She has been in business for the last 30 years. She works six days a week. She has requested for a loan of Uganda shillings 500,000 from MCDT – SACCO to buy vaccines, poultry feed, and feeding trays. Her major business challenges are seasonality, transportation of chicken feed and electricity. Her goals and aspirations are to increase her poultry farm, to build more rental rooms and expand her production. She lives in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and food.
