Fatuma's Group's story

Fatuma is a twenty-five year old maize farmer and mother of eight children. Due to a lack of capital to invest in fertilizers such as manure and pesticides, the maize yields poor harvests. Fatuma is joining the KOMAZA microforestry program because she wants to use the profits from her tree farm to educate her children. She says, "I like KOMAZA because I am investing in trees for future improvement."

In this group: Fatuma, Johnson, Mwenda, Gabriel, Karisa
