A loan of $500 helped a member buy piglets and pig feed.

Mean's Group's story

Mean is a 42-year-old villager from a rural area located in the Mongkol Borey province’s Batanteay Meanchey district. She is married and has five children. She earns a living through raising pigs and her husband is a paid worker to earn extra income. Having been in this business for 15 years, Mean can earn about 35,000 KHR per day to meet her family’s needs.

This is the first loan for Mean’s group of four members. Now leading her group to apply for a loan, Mean wants to use her portion to buy piglets for raising and pig feed for nourishing them. She hopes to fatten her pigs so as to sell them for a good price to better her family's living condition.
