A loan of $475 helped to buy medicines.

Liz's story

Liz, age 30, is married to Segundo. He is a doctor, and he is the father of her children. They live in their own house.

Liz sells medicine and other health products. That is why she has a drugstore in her own home. That is saving her the expense of renting. She started with this business over five years ago. She did this because she saw the need that her neighbors had for an establishment that would provide what they needed for their ailments.

Before having this business she was having financial difficulties. This was because her family grew rapidly with the arrival of her triplets. Therefore, they looked for alternatives to solve the problem. They decided to set up a drug store. It is now going very well for them. Therefore, they have plans to continue and to make her business grow with more merchandise. They plan to have more stock available for sale.

This is her third loan with Kiva. She is very happy to know that she has a loan in order to advance with her business. She pledges to make her payments punctually. She will now request 1,200 soles to buy medicines like pills, gauze, and syrups, among others. She is looking for the most affordable prices by purchasing in volume. This way she will give her customers lower prices.
