A loan of $1,500 helped to buy two dairy cows and to buy medicine for her sick mother-in-law.

Elisa's story

Elisa, age 23, is married and has one child. She has been raising cows for ten years. She learned from her father, a rancher. She buys the livestock at the nearest market places, which are 20 kilometers from her house.

The loan that she is requesting from the Fundación Campo is to buy two dairy cows. She will also buy medicine for her sick mother-in-law. She will help to improve her mother-in-law’s health with this investment . She will also be able to produce more milk. This will allow her to process the milk and to sell dairy products and the cows. This will generate better income for her in order to feed her family. She will also be able to buy a piece of land in order to build her own house.
