A loan of $1,000 helped to buy wood, corn husk rods for the wall, sand, cement, iron bars, blocks, and stone to construct the bathrooms and a retaining wall to level the land.

José Alfredo's story

José is thirty-seven years old, is in a relationship, and has one daughter. He has been characterized as being a very enterprising person who has worked very hard to get ahead in life. Thanks to his jobs as a bricklayer's assistant, in agriculture, and in other sectors, he was able to complete his basic education.

For five years, he has worked as a community organizer in the surrounding communities, thereby making an income for his family. Because of his reputation, they have donated a piece of land to José so that he can build his house.

The loan that he is requesting from Fundación Campo will be used to buy wood, corn husk rods for the wall, sand, cement, iron bars, blocks, and stones to build the bathrooms and a retention wall to level the land. With this investment, he will be able to move himself to his own house, since where he currently lives is not his; his family will be sure that nobody will kick them out, since this house will be their own.

His wish is to continue improving his home and to offer an education to his daughter.
