A loan of $625 helped a member to buy fertilizer and pesticides for her farmland.

Ett's Group's story

Living in a rural village of Kampong Cham province’s Damabe district, Ett is a 32-year-old married mother of four children, all of whom are dependent on her and still in school. She and her husband have earned a living through farming rice and cassava planting for three years. To better support the family, her husband works for others for a fee to increase their income. The current business earns her about 20,000 KHR per day and she manages to save about 10,000 KHR each day for the future needs. Ett has been with VisionFund for four cycles while the other member is just with VisionFund this cycle. Ett completely paid back the past loans. Now she is leading her group to ask for a loan. As the leader, she will use her portion to buy fertilizer and pesticides for her farmland and use a portion of it to spend on plowing the field. She hopes this loan will enable her to earn more income from her current business so as to fulfill her dream to build a decent house to live in.
