A loan of $2,000 helped a member to pay for eucalyptus seedlings, fertilizer, training and plantation maintenance support.

Nicholas' Group's story

Nicholas is a forty-five year old dryland farmer and father of five children. He and his wife do not have the capital to invest in fertilizers and pesticides for their crops, and the lack of rain reduces yields. Nicholas is joining the KOMAZA microforestry program so that he may educate his children with the profits he receives from his tree farm.
