Fanny De Lourdes's story

The Junín Communal Bank meets every 15 days in the canton of Junín. This place is known for its friendly people. The best brandy in the province and all of Ecuador is distilled here.

Sra. Fanny lives in this place. She is 53 years old, married, and has four children. Three of them are grown and her youngest daughter is a 16-year-old high school student. Two of her children still live with her. Her husband is a public employee.

Doña Fanny intended to earn her own income so that she could move forward. She sells bed sheets, towels, curtains, and other products. Fanny also makes embroideries with children’s themes. She travels throughout the city by car so that she can offer her merchandise and embroideries. Fanny also sells and delivers her goods to certain bazaars in the city. She has been a merchant for six years and has been making embroideries for a very long time.

Her loan will be used to buy towels, bed sheets, curtains, fabrics, and thread for her embroideries. Fanny has been with the Communal Bank for seven years and enjoys being a member because one of the loans was used to start her business. Her dream is for her youngest daughter to become a professional.
