Juan Gabriel's story

Sr. Juan is 21 years old and works as a fisherman. He lives on the island of Del Lago Titicaca, a center of tourism in the Department of La Paz. Handcrafted items made from cattails and wool are offered to the public in this area. Most of the inhabitants of this island are either fishermen or work in the tourism trade.

This loan is his first transaction with Emprender. Sr. Juan will use the loan to buy fishing nets. His reason for requesting this loan is so that he can increase his fishing business and acquire more operating capital. Sr. Juan faces challenges in his business, such as having to increase production, so he will utilize the benefits of this loan so that he can keep improving. He is a hardworking person and is pleased with the opportunity that has been given to him.
