A loan of $400 helped to cover his siblings' school expenses.

David's story

David is a young man who is 19 years old. He is single and lives in the city of Ica, in the district of Santiago, with his parents and siblings. Unfortunately, due to a lack of financial resources and because he needed to work to support his parents, David was not able to study for a degree in Medicine, but he would have liked to have done so. In his free time he likes to watch television and sometimes make delicious "Juanes" (a typical Peruvian food) to share with his family.

On his own initiative and with great effort and dedication, David works as a field laborer on an agricultural holding in the city. He works about 10 hours every day and he believes he is successful due to his good work and his friendly treatment of others. David is very thankful for the Kiva lenders because thanks to their help he can pay for his younger siblings' school expenses. He wants to pay for their registration fees and buy their school supplies. In this way they young ones can have the materials they need to continue their studies. He will therefore continue working and making efforts to achieve his greatest dream of having his own business and bit by bit improving the life of his family.
