Haja K. is the group leader of Tawopaneh Multipurpose group. She sells local products such as rice and palm oil in the market of Magburaka town in Sierra Leone. At the age of 49, Haja has nine children, and she has to work hard to meet their needs. Her husband is a teacher whose salary is insufficient to meet all the family expenses, so Haja's business income supplements their expenses. Adama and Hassanatu also sell local products in the same market, and Sallamatu owns a small grocery stall. The goup would like to increase their stock and is therefore requesting a loan of $850.
