Fatuma's story

Fatuma is 35 years old and married with five children between the ages of 10 and 21 who are in school. They all live in West Point, one of the most populated and well known markets in Montserrado County that is good at producing fish for the Liberian local market.

She was unable to attend school, and has been selling palm oil, rice, charcoal, beans, okra, peppers, etc., in the local market for the past 10 years. She uses a motorbike to get her goods, so she really faces a problem during the rainy season. She is requesting a loan to increase her inventory (palm oil, rice, charcoal, beans, okra, peppers, etc.) before the rainy season. Her dream is to build a house for her children and to boost her business because it has gained her independence.
