A loan of $1,075 helped a member to buy an additional plot of farmland to grow cassava.


Vich's Group's story

A mother of a son who is currently helping in the business, Vich is 47 years old and married. She earns a living from the only source of family income via one hectare of cassava cropping; it is the business that she has been with for 25 years and returns her about 20,000 KHR per day. Including this loan, she is in the fourth cycle with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She is able to repay back all of loans and has succeeded in providing daily decent food for her family. Now, she wants to enlarge her cassava farmland. Therefore, she is leading a group of three to apply for a new loan. She hopes to receive high yield from her current business and make more income.
