Nasira's story

Nasira is 49 years old and she is married with three children. She raises livestock as the main source of income for her family. She started this business with 15,000 som (KGS) in 1992, after the fall of the USSR, so she could improve her family's finances. Today she has a good farm with a dairy cow, sheep and goats. With the income she has earned from raising livestock, Nasira has created good conditions in which to raise her animals, and she built an extension to her house. Her monthly income from her business is 15,000 som (KGS) from the sale of livestock and farming activities. She raises her livestock and sells them at the local market. With the goal of increasing her business further, Nasira has turned to Bai-Tushum and Partners for a loan of 40,000 som (KGS) to purchase fuel and fertilizer for her spring field work. Nasira plans to use her income to increase her head of livestock, and in the future she dreams of buying a car.
