A loan of $300 helped to buy corn and firewood.

Alejandra's story

Sra. Alejandra is a simple woman, 34 years old, and a native of Léon although she now lives in Managua. She has two children aged 5 and 11. She earns her living selling tortillas, a business she has owned for more than twelve years. Alejandra started her business using money that her husband gave her for that very purpose. With a lot of hard work and effort she has managed to get ahead and now has a solid business.

She now requires a loan to buy corn and firewood and all the basic supplies she needs to make tortillas. Her plans for the future include improving the building where she makes the tortillas and providing a better service to her customers.
