A loan of $1,175 helped to perform maintenance on his car.

Angel's story

Ángel, 42, is a hardworking man. He lives with his wife, Mariela, and their three children, whom he cares for in the house which he bought eight years ago. Thanks to his effort, he has managed to build up a stable business. His wife is responsible for the clothing store which was opened in a central zone of the city eight years ago. This work is going very well, so she now hopes to expand and remodel the business. Meanwhile, Ángel works as a taxi driver with his own car every morning, because at night he relaxes with his family.

His main goal is to finish construction on his house and to furnish it well. He wants to build three floors. He is working on the first two and he hopes to build the third very soon. "I'm very close," he mentions. As he is a project-driven man, he plans to save up to pay for his children's university studies, as they will finish secondary school very soon.

This is his third loan with Kiva. He is happy to receive this financial support to make progress with his business. Moreover, he promises to be punctual in the payment of his installments. Ángel will invest these 3000 Peruvian soles in mechanical repairs to his car, and if there is enough money left, he will buy merchandise for his wife's business.
