A loan of $1,050 helped buy propane, rice, beans, and canned goods.

Dorys Elizabeth's story

Dorys runs a store so she can earn money to buy daily necessities. She sells everyday products such as drinks, gas etc. She lives with her mother and daughter; she has other family members living overseas but they don’t help her much.

Dorys opened her business three years ago and she runs it with help from her daughter. Her great advantage is that she has a good customer base and stability above all. She plans to use the loan money to add stock to her store such as propane, rice, beans, and canned goods so she will have many more products to offer her customers.

The investment will help her a great deal as she will have a wider choice of items which, in turn, will lead to a more profitable store. Her customers will be attracted to the new products. Dorys’s dream is turn the store into a mini-supermarket so that she’ll be able to help her daughter with educational expenses.
