A loan of $300 helped to buy supplies and pay for labour to build walls for her kitchen.

Gloria Azucena's story

Gloria is 36 years old and is the single mother to three children who are 19, 16 and 13 years old respectively. She has been single for six years, because her spouse travelled to the United States and since then she hasn't heard anything from him. Since then, she has had to work alone to support her children. Nowadays only two are dependents, since the oldest has already gotten married. Gloria works performing household chores and selling the products of a business by catalogue.

She is asking for this loan from Fundación Campo to buy bricks, sand and cement, and to pay for labour, so that she can build walls for her kitchen. At the moment it is completely unprotected and in the winter it gets wet. On top of that, animals can get in and she can't leave food in there with much confidence because it will get eaten. Her dream is for her daughters to stay in school at least until high school, and to improve her home.
