A loan of $400 helped to buy pop.

Antonia's story

Antonia, age 65, is a hard-working and dynamic woman. She is divorced from the father of her two daughters, ages 22 and 24. She also has a grandchild. They live together in their own home.
Antonia sells pop. For her business, she has a fridge in her own home where she is able to keep her product at a temperature that her customers appreciate. They buy her pop in order to take it elsewhere to drink. Antonia has had this business for about three years. She decided to start her business in order to cover her household costs after her husband left.
She says that this is a business where you can't lose because there is so much pop consumption. This is her fourth loan with Kiva. She is grateful for the loans as she will be able to continue with her business. She promises to be punctual in repaying her quotas. She is now requesting 1000 soles for the purchase of merchandise. She will buy pop of various flavours and brands, looking for low prices and volume discounts. She hopes to increase her profit margin this way.
