A loan of $250 helped to buy new clothes to sell such as dresses, trousers, shirts, sheets, etc.

Halima's story

Halima, a resident of Malindi, Kenya, is a married mother of two school-going children. She runs a clothes shop which has been operating for six years and employs one person. She is also employed as a teacher.

Halima was introduced to Milango by her friends, and joined to access credit. She is applying for a loan of 21,100 Kenya shillings to purchase new clothes to sell such as dresses, trousers, shirts, sheets, etc.

Halima believes the income from this loan will help her educate her children as she works toward her goal of owning a wholesale shop despite the high cost of stocks from the suppliers which makes most of her items beyond the reach of the public.
