A loan of $850 helped to buy modern teaching materials, chairs, and desks.

Sandra's story

Sandra, 32 years old, lives in the city of Cartagena with her husband and her two children, a two-year-old and a three-month-old newborn. She is the owner of a small kindergarten that she has run for 2 years, after being licensed as an early childhood education teacher at the university and giving free rein to her independent and entrepreneurial ability. Currently she is applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With it, she will buy modern teaching materials, chairs, and desks because she needs them for the comfort and safety of her little customers. Her investment will be successful because she has a lot of experience in the community and she is recognized for the quality of her work with children, so she supports herself in the market. Her goal is to grow her enrollment because she plans to educate her children with the successful quality principles that the future requires so that they will have a very comfortable life.
