A loan of $325 helped buy fertilizer and maintain her farm.

Florinda's story

Florinda is 36 years old, married, and has 3 children. She lives in a village of Taulabe, Comayagua.

Florinda has worked in agriculture her whole life. She has worked growing coffee for 10 years, selling it as pergamino coffee in the local market . The price of this product is profitable and maintains itself.

She says that she feels motivated to keep working with Kiva and that thanks to this, her crop has consistently been of good quality.

She is now asking for her third loan of 6,000 lempirs (US$325), which she will use to buy fertilizer and maintain her farm.

Her goal in the future is to sow another field of coffee so as to generate more income and continue helping her family.
