Benedicta sells a traditional corn and cassava dough called banku in Eguafo near Elmina, Ghana. She has no formal education and is married with three children. Her husband is a farmer while Benedicta has been selling her banku recipe for some time now. She pays to support her husband with their family’s general accommodation bills. Her loan will be used to buy more corn and cassava to prepare banku. She hopes to use the new profits from her business to develop her banku enterprise further.
