A loan of $300 helped to buy rice.

Aminata's story

Madam Aminata is 52 years old, married and mother to 8 children. She lives in a nuclear family with her husband and her children in the Pelengana South neighborhood (fourth administrative region of the republic of Mali).

Having left school to get married due to her parent's wishes, she started shop-keeping very early. She has been managing her businesses buying and selling cereals for 17 years and enjoys a great reputation and notoriety.

She is requesting this loan due to her concern to strengthen her business in order to meet her clientele's demands. She has been in a relationship with Soro Yiriwaso for 78 months and has already benefited from 3 group loans and 5 individual loans which were all well repaid. She is on her 6th individual loan which she plans to use to buy 6 bags of rice of 100 kg each. She gets her supplies locally.

Madam Aminata sells for cash and credit to a clientele consisting of men and women.

She plans to make a monthly profit of 75,000 FCFA, which will serve to reimburse her loan and to participate in social events.
