A loan of $975 helped a member to pay labor costs for planting her cassava.

Ann's Group's story

Ann, 47, lives with her husband and six children in a rural village in the Tbaung Khmum district, Cambodia. To feed the family, Ann and her husband earn a living as farmers. They have been farming rice and cassava for almost twenty years, earning about 30,000 KHR per day for family needs.

This is Ann’s group loan with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund, and her group has only three members, all of whom live in the same village. Ann has been with VisionFund for two cycles, and completely paid back the loans.

As the leader, Ann is leading her group to apply for another loan with VisionFund. She is going to use her portion to pay for labor costs to plant her cassava.

She hopes to increase her crop yields to generate more income and improve her standard of living.
