A loan of $1,225 helped a member to buy fertilizer for her farmland and feed for her pigs.

Khorn's Group's story

A rural villager from the Ponhea Krek district, Khorn is 29 years old and married. She has two children; one is in school while the other one is too young for school. She is a rice farmer of one hectares of farmland, and supplements the income by raising pigs; her husband is a paid worker. Having been in this business for four years, she currently can earn about 22,000 KHR per day.

This is the microloan for Khorn’s group of four, and she is the third cycled client. The first loan has helped her better support her family. Now she is leading her group to apply for another loan with VisionFund. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy fertilizer for her farmland and use a portion of it to buy pig feed for her pig business.

She hopes this loan will increase her family’s income in order to make a better living.
