A loan of $2,300 helped to buy three cattle, two milk cows and fodder.

Azer's story

Azer, 38, is married. He is an internally displaced person (IDP) and lives in Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. He breeds cows and cattle and sells milk and milk products as well as cattle for meat purposes to local butchers. He also raises sheep for meat purposes. Azer has 10 years of experience in this field, thanks to his father who taught him the best how to look after cattle.

Azer usually buys small cattle then raises and fattens them in 5-6 months and resells them for a more profitable price in the local livestock bazaar. He sells milk and yoghurt to the neighbors. Milk and meat selling brings 80 AZN in income per month. Milk and yoghurt, as well as beef and mutton, are very popular products in Azerbaijan. People use meat in everyday national dishes as pilau and dolma and always use yoghurt sauce.

This is only one financial income in his family--not enough to cover the basic needs of his beloved children. Azer applied for a loan of 1800 AZN to purchase three cattle, two milk cows and fodder. He has already had several loans with AqroInvest and he has good client history.
