A loan of $500 helped a member to buy fertilizers and pesticides for her farmland.

Imm's Group's story

Imm is a 30-year-old mother of five children living in a rural village of the Tbaung Khmum district, Cambodia. Out of her five children, she still has four children to take care of. Some of her children are still in school and some help with the family’s business.

To make a living, Imm and her husband have been working for others for a fee. The current business earns her about 20,000 KHR per day.

This is the second microloan for Imm’s group of two with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now leading her group to apply for a loan, Imm will use her portion to buy fertilizers and pesticides for her farmland.

Imm hopes this loan will enable her to earn more income so as to make a better living and keep her children in school until graduation.
