Jaliwa's Group's story

Jaliwa is a sixty-year-old dryland farmer. His agricultural endeavors suffer from long drought periods.

Jaliwa is joining the KOMAZA microforestry program "to improve his livelihood and the environment." He intends to use the profits from his tree farm to improve his farming techniques and build a permanent home.

Jaliwa appreciates the interaction he has with other farmers and learning new methods of tree maintenance through the KOMAZA program.
