Charo's Group's story

Charo is a 68-year-old father of three; he is a dry-land farmer and casual laborer. The odd jobs he is able to find do not pay much. Charo is joining the KOMAZA microforestry program so that he may educate his children with the profits from his tree farm. His favorite parts of the KOMAZA program are "getting to know many people and enjoying learning new skills." Charo aspires to be a role model in his community and foresees being financially successful from his tree farm as a means for achieving this.
