Irine's Group's story

Irine is a forty-year-old small-scale farmer and mother of six children. Her agricultural endeavors face the challenges presented by unreliable rainfall. Irine plans to use the profits from her tree farm to continue educating her six children, all of whom are currently in school. Her favorite part of the KOMAZA microforestry program is "making more friends and getting the spirit of working in groups."
