Dum S., 58, is a married mother who works as farmer. She makes around $1.00 each day. Her husband farms vegetables and everyday he earns approximately $1.50 by selling those vegetables in the market. They have four children and all of them have their own businesses that help support the family.
Her husband always brings vegetable to sell in the market by motor-taxi so that he can save time. He would like to apply for a loan from Kiva to purchase a motorbike with a trailer to transfer vegetables to the market. Any remaining money will be used to purchase more farmland to grow more vegetables.
