Bendera's Group's story

Bendera is a fifty-five-year-old mother of eight children and wife of a dryland farmer. She collects and sells firewood to earn money to support her family. Bendera is joining the KOMAZA microforestry program so that she may buy land for her family and buy a milk cow. She would also like to have a modern home, with electricity and running water. Bendera says, "I like KOMAZA because they are really giving people opportunity to develop."
