Angelita Del Pilar's story

Angelita is a 33 year old woman. She lives in the city of Pucallpa with her three children. She loves them and they are her main reason for living. She is a very friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic person. All her efforts are focused on moving her family forward since she is mother and father to her children. Unfortunately, due to a lack of financial resources and the need to start working at a young age, Angelita could not study for a professional career but would like to do so. In her free time, she likes to fish with her children. Sometimes she makes a delicious ceviche for them.
Through her own initiative and with lots of effort and dedication, Angelita works in her small business selling groceries. She has her business in her home and works for approximately 10 hours. Angelita feels comfortable with her work and she believes the business is going well because of the good prices and the kind treatment she gives to her customers.
Angelita is very grateful for the Kiva lenders. Thanks to the help offered, she will be able to purchase a large quantity and variety of merchandise like rice, sugar, legumes, milk, detergent and other items. She will be able to better stock her business and help more customers. With these benefits, she will continue to work and strive to achieve her big dream of seeing her children become good professionals.
