A loan of $575 helped to buy more water.

Cruz Inocencio's story

Cruz, 66, lives in Sabanalarga, a livestock farming municipality with very intelligent inhabitants. When asked where they are from, they say: "from Sabanalarga, where intelligence is a plague". For ten years, Cruz has been selling bags of water through direct distribution. He learned his trade from a company where he worked and gained much experience, which prompted him to become independent and establish his own business. He buys the water close to where it is produced and sells it on a cash basis to merchants.

His clientele has grown but he does not have enough capital to increase his purchases to sell more. Therefore, he is requesting a crediKiva loan, which is his first through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. The will allow him to buy more water and obtain larger discounts. The increase in profit will give his family more income.
