Roberto's story

Roberto is 43 years old. He lives with his sister at her house located in the small town of San Lorenzo in southern Honduras. For the last 20 years, he has been traveling to different communities to sell firewood, fruit and livestock. Roberto has a well-established clientele; he sells his fruit to customers who are friends that visit him daily. Roberto is seeking a loan so that he can purchase more fruits such as melons, watermelons, oranges, mangoes, avocados, pineapples, and apples, as well as shots for his livestock. He also wants to buy loads of corn. Roberto's dream is to have a healthy business and use his earnings to continue to improve his house. San Lorenzo, Honduras - February 2013.
